About Nate Jastrab
Academics & Extra Curriculars
I am currently a senior at Saint John's High School, a college preparatory high school in Shrewsbury, MA, where I am a recipient of the Headmaster's Scholarship for academic achievement. I maintain a rigorous course load of all honors & AP classes and have a 4.2 GPA. At school, I am Vice President of the Leo Club, which is dedicated to public service, and a volunteer assistant for many of the camps and summer programs that St. John's offers to the community. Outside of school, I am a summer intern at the Worcester County District Attorney's office and I also play as a Senior Partner on a local Unified Special Olympics soccer team. In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar and piano. In college, I plan to major in history and political science, and eventually pursue a career in law.
Club Soccer Experience
I currently play on the NEFC U19 MLS Next 2 team. I most often play right back in a 4-3-3 formation, though I also occasionally play left back. My individual strengths are my speed, my composure under pressure, my 1 v 1 defending, and my ability to create offensive opportunities by beating opponents down the sideline. At NEFC, I am coached by Christian Battaglia, who can be reached at christian@nefc.us.
High School Soccer Experience
I joined the St. John's varsity soccer team roster in the fall of my freshman year, will serve as a team captain for my senior year. At St. John's I primarily play left back, most often a 3-back formation. St. John's competes in Division 1 of the MIAA, where we play among the most competitive high school teams in Massachusetts and advanced to the State Championship final in 2024.
