About Nate Jastrab
Academics & Extra Curriculars
I am currently a junior at Saint John's High School, a college preparatory high school in Shrewsbury, MA, where I am a recipient of the Headmaster's Scholarship for academic achievement. I maintain a rigorous course load of all honors & AP classes and have a 4.13 GPA. At school, I am an officer in the Leo Club, which is dedicated to public service, and a volunteer assistant for many of the camps and summer programs that St. John's offers to the community. Outside of school, my favorite activity is playing as a Senior Partner on my town's Unified Special Olympics soccer team. I also work as a referee for local youth soccer leagues. In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar and piano. In college, I plan to major in history and political science, and eventually pursue a career in law.
Club Soccer Experience
I have been playing club soccer for more than 8 years and currently play on the NEFC U17 National Academy League (NAL) team. In 2024, we qualified for the NAL National Championship tournament, where we were national semi-finalists. I am a versatile player, though the majority of my recent club experience has been playing right fullback in a 4-3-3 formation. My individual strengths are my composure under pressure, my ability to create offensive opportunities by beating opponents down the sideline, and my defensive recovery. High School Soccer Experience
I joined the St. John's varsity soccer team roster in the fall of my freshman year, and am on track to be a 4-year varsity player. At St. John's I primarily play left fullback, most often a 3-back formation. St. John's competes in Division 1 of the MIAA, where we play among the most competitive high school teams in Massachusetts and advanced to the State Championship final in 2024.
