About Nate Jastrab
Academics & Extra Curriculars
I am currently a junior at Saint John's High School, a private high school in Shrewsbury, MA, where I am a recipient of the Headmaster's Scholarship for academic achievement. I maintain a rigorous course load of all honors & AP classes and have a 4.1 GPA. At school, I am an officer in the Leo Club, which is dedicated to public service, and a volunteer assistant for many of the camps and summer programs that St. John's offers to the community. Outside of school, my favorite activity is playing as a Senior Partner on my town's Unified Special Olympics soccer team. I also work as a referee for local youth soccer leagues. In my spare time I enjoy playing guitar and piano. In college, I plan to major in history and political science, and eventually pursue a career in law or government.
Club Soccer Experience
I have been playing club soccer for more than 8 years and currently play on the NEFC U17 National Academy League (NAL) team. In 2024, we qualified for the NAL National Championship tournament, where we were semi-finalists. I am a versatile player, though the majority of my recent club experience has been playing right fullback in a 4-3-3 formation. My individual strengths are my outstanding defensive recovery, my effective transition to counter attack, and my ability to create offensive opportunities by driving through the middle or down the sideline. High School Soccer Experience
I joined the St. John's varsity soccer team roster in the fall of my freshman year, and am on track to be a 4-year varsity player. At St. John's I primarily play left fullback, most often a 3-back formation. St. John's competes in Division 1 of the MIAA, where we play among the most competitive high school teams in Massachusetts and advanced to the State Championship final in 2024.
